Ingredients• 1 cup all-purpose plain flour • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar or sweetener • 2 teaspoons baking powder • 1/2 teaspoon salt • 3/4 cup milk, plus more as needed • 2 tablespoons butter, melted and cooled slightly • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract • 1 large egg
To begin, combine the sugar, flour, salt, and baking powder in a large bowl. Make a well in the center and add the milk, egg, vanilla, and butter.
Whisk the wet ingredients together before slowly folding them into the dry ingredients. Combine until lump-free and smooth. Add 1-2 additional tablespoons of milk as needed to slightly thin out the batter.
Allow your pancake batter to sit for 5 minutes while heating a griddle or nonstick pan over medium-high heat. Lightly grease with cooking oil or butter.
Pour the pancake batter into a squeezable sauce/condiment bottle. (If using a ziplock bag, cut a small hole in the bottom corner at an angle).
Squeeze small dots of batter onto a hot and greased pan. Cook until the tops of the pancakes form bubbles and look dry/set. Flip over with a spatula and cook for 1-2 minutes until the undersides are golden.
Repeat that process with the remaining batter, lightly greasing the pan between each batch.
Serve with maple syrup, fruit, honey, or your choice of toppings!
