Lunch Lady Brownies

Do you miss those gooey and delicious brownies from when you were in school? Well, look no further! These melt-in-your-mouth brownies will keep you coming back for more. The best part? You don't even have to be in school!


For the brownies: • 1 cup butter melted • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder • 2 cups all-purpose flour • 2 cups granulated sugar • 4 large eggs • 4 teaspoons vanilla extract For the chocolate frosting: • 1/4 cup butter, softened • 1/4 cup milk, 2% (or your preference) • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder • 3 cups powdered sugar


Step 1

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2

Line a 9x13-inch baking pan with foil and spray the foil with non-stick spray. Set aside.

Step 3

Add melted butter and cocoa powder into the bowl of your electric stand mixer, or a normal bowl. Blend ingredients until smooth.

Step 4

Add the sugar and flour into the bowl, and beat together. Add eggs and vanilla extract. Mix until it is combined and the batter is thick. Make sure to not over mix.

Step 5

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.

Step 6

Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until cooked to your desired doneness. You will know it is ready when you insert a toothpick into the center and it comes out clean. Remove the brownies from the oven and let them sit for 15 minutes before adding frosting.

Step 7

While the brownies are cooking, make the frosting. Mix together all of the chocolate frosting ingredients together until smooth. Spread evenly onto the brownies and enjoy!
