Did you know that Italy is the fifth most visited country in the world? It's no surprise, as it's filled with wondrous sights and delicious foods! Good news, though. You don't even have to leave your home to indulge in Italy's Best Meatball Sub! While comfy in your cottage, you can munch on a fluffy hoagie roll that's overflowing with spicy Italian meatballs and loads and loads of melted, golden-brown parmesan and mozzarella cheese. The cheesy, juiciness of Italy's Best Meatball Sub will have you exclaiming, "delizioso!"

• 3 hoagie rolls • 1 cup marinara sauce, divided • 3 tablespoons parmesan cheese, grated • 12 Italian meatballs, cooked • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, thick, shredded • 2 teaspoons dry oregano

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2

Slice the hoagie rolls on the middle-top, but not all the way through.

Step 3

Place the hoagies side by side in a baking dish or a rimmed baking sheet. Depending on the dish, it may need to be lightly greased or covered with foil.

Step 4

Spread the marinara sauce on the bottom of each hoagie interior and sprinkle with the parmesan cheese.

Step 5

Place the meatballs inside the hoagies, side by side. Depending on the size of the hoagies, 4-5 meatballs should fit in each roll.

Step 6

Spread the remaining marinara sauce on top of the meatballs.

Step 7

Generously spread the mozzarella cheese over each hoagie and sprinkle with the oregano.

Step 8

Bake the subs until they are heated all the way through and the cheese is golden brown, about 20-25 minutes.
