Hot Buttered Rum tastes even better than it sounds, infused with the warm flavors of autumn. Smoky rum and spices swirl together with molasses-sweet brown sugar and rich butter. Topped with a flavorful cinnamon stick, Hot Buttered Rum is sure to butter you up for the holidays!


• 2 teaspoons packed brown sugar • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, softened • 1 splash pure vanilla extract • 1 dash ground cinnamon • 1 dash ground nutmeg • 1 dash ground allspice • 2 ounces dark rum • 4 ounces hot water • 1 cinnamon stick, for garnish


Step 1

Combine the butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and vanilla extract into the bottom of an Irish coffee glass or mug. Muddle or mix well.

Step 2

Pour in the rum. Top it off with the hot water.

Step 3

Stir well and garnish with a cinnamon stick. Serve.
