Hearty Breakfast Bagel Sandwich is so delicious and filling, you’ll want to have it for every meal of the day!


• 1 bagel (plain, whole wheat, or everything) • 3 tablespoons butter, divided • 2 eggs • 2 slices bacon, cooked • 1 slice American cheese • salt, to taste • freshly ground pepper, to taste


Step 1

Slice the bagel in half lengthwise and evenly spread 2 tablespoons of the butter on the two cut sides.

Step 2

Preheat a cast-iron skillet over medium heat.

Step 3

Place the bagels, butter side down, into the skillet and toast until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.

Step 4

Remove the toasted bagels from the skillet and set aside.

Step 5

Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of the butter to the skillet and allow it to melt.

Step 6

Crack both eggs directly into the skillet and scramble.

Step 7

Gently stir the eggs until not quite cooked to your desired doneness.

Step 8

Place the cheese and bacon on top of the eggs and cook until the cheese is melted and eggs are fully cooked, about 2-3 minutes.

Step 9

Place the eggs, bacon and cheese on the toasted bagel bottom and add the bagel top on top.
