Grown-Up Spaghetti O's

Flashback to your childhood with this grown-up Spaghetti O's! Pasta, ground beef, cheese, and breadcrumbs—this recipe is delicious. This recipe takes an hour and 10 minutes to make and serves 6.


Ingredients

• 2 1/2 cups anelletti pasta • 1 pound ground beef • 2 1/2 cups tomato sauce • 1 1/2 cups Parmesan Romano – grated and divided • 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese - grated • 1 teaspoon dried basil • 1 teaspoon dried oregano • 3 garlic cloves, minced • salt to taste • pepper to taste • 1/2 small onion - chopped • 1 to 2 tablespoons bread crumbs • 1 tablespoon butter • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Directions

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2

In a medium-size skillet or frying pan-saute onion and garlic in olive oil. Add the ground beef and cook until browned throughout.

Step 3

Add the tomato sauce and spice, stir to mix, reduce heat to a simmer.

Step 4

Bring a medium-size pot of water to a boil, add anelletti pasta but only partially cook according to package directions, just shy of al dente.

Step 5

Drain the anelletti pasta in a colander. In your skillet or frying pan mix the pasta in with the ragu sauce.

Step 6

Add the grated mozzarella cheese and 1 cup of the Parmesan Romano.

Step 7

Grease the 9x13 or 9x9 pan with a little butter or cooking spray. Pour in the pasta/ragu mix, and spread evenly throughout the pan.

Step 8

Sprinkle on the bread crumbs and the rest of the parmesan cheese.

Step 9

Bake in the oven for 40 minutes. Let stand in pan for 10 minutes after taking out of the oven. Serve and Enjoy!
