Four Bean Salad is a simple and savory side dish that’s sure to be welcome wherever you bring it! The different beans offer uniquely creamy, hearty, and refreshing flavors and textures, with a tangy and sweet dressing over it all. With a little touch of heat from pimento peppers, Four Bean Salad goes perfectly with barbeques or potlucks!


• 1 cup white sugar • 1 cup white wine vinegar • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil • 1 onion, chopped • 6 stalks celery, chopped • 1 (15 ounce) can green beans, drained • 1 (15 ounce) can white string beans, drained • 1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans, drained • 1 (15 ounce) can chickpeas, drained • 1 (4 ounce) jar pimentos


Step 1

Combine the sugar, vinegar, and oil in a large mixing or salad bowl.

Step 2

Add the onion, celery, green beans, white string beans, kidney beans, chickpeas, and pimentos to the mix.

Step 3

Toss everything to ensure all of the ingredients are well-coated.

Step 4

Place the bean salad into a sealed container and refrigerate for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
