Ingredients• 1 pound lean ground beef • 1 pound lean ground pork • 3/4 cup water, warm • 2 eggs, slightly beaten • 1/3 cup Picante sauce • 1 (1-ounce) package dry onion soup mix • 3/4 cup dry bread crumbs • 1/4 cup green bell pepper, minced • 1 (10.75-ounce) can of condensed nacho cheese soup • green onions, optional, for garnish
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
Mix the beef, pork, water, eggs, Picante sauce, onion soup mix, bread crumbs, and the bell pepper in a mixing bowl until evenly blended.
Pack the meat mixture in the prepared loaf pan.
Poke holes in the loaf with a fork nearly to the bottom of the pan.
Pour the cheese soup over the top of the loaf, spreading evenly.
Bake until the loaf is no longer pink in the center and an instant-read thermometer inserted into the center reads 160 degrees F, about 1 hour 30 minutes.
Garnish with green onions and serve.
