Easy Oven Fajitas

You don’t need a frying pan to enjoy the roasted flavors of fajitas. Easy Oven Fajitas only asks that you slip everything into the oven and presto! Crispy, fresh flavored bell peppers, sweet onions, and tender chicken piled high on tortillas. Easy Oven Fajitas have a caramelized seasoning crust over the top that makes them even more delectable and adds a touch of heat and sweetness. You’ll be remaking this recipe over and over again after trying it!


• 1 tablespoon chili powder • 1/2 tablespoon paprika • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder • 1/4 teaspoon cumin • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper • 1 teaspoon sugar • 1/2 teaspoon salt • 2 small onions, sliced into 1/4-inch strips • 3 bell peppers, any color, sliced into 1/4-inch strips • 1 pound chicken breast, sliced very thin • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil • 1/2 medium lime • 8 (6-inch) tortillas • 1/2 cup sour cream, optional • 1/4 bunch cilantro, optional


Step 1

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

Step 2

Mix the chili powder, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, cumin, cayenne pepper, sugar, and salt together in a small bowl.

Step 3

Set the prepared fajita seasoning aside.

Step 4

Place the onions, bell peppers, and chicken in a large 13x15-inch casserole dish or a large baking sheet.

Step 5

Drizzle the vegetable oil over the chicken and vegetables.

Step 6

Sprinkle the fajita seasoning mix over the top of the chicken and vegetables.

Step 7

Use your hands to toss the ingredients until everything is well coated in both the oil and seasoning.

Step 8

Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, stirring once halfway through.

Step 9

Squeeze the lime half over the top of the meat and vegetables after they come out of the oven.

Step 10

While the fajita mix roasts, toast each tortilla in a dry skillet over medium-low heat, until lightly browned on each side.

Step 11

Scoop a small amount of roasted meat and vegetables into the center of each tortilla.

Step 12

Top the fajitas with a few sprigs of cilantro, a dollop of sour cream, and an extra squeeze of lime, and serve.
