• 1 cup warm water, 105-110 degrees F • 1 tablespoon sugar • 1 tablespoon yeast, active and dry • 1 tablespoon olive oil • 2-2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour • 1 teaspoon salt

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F.

Step 2

Grease a pizza pan or baking sheet.

Step 3

Add the cup of warm water to a large bowl.

Step 4

Combine sugar and yeast in the bowl with the water.

Step 5

Allow the mixture to sit for about 5 minutes until the contents begin to bubble slightly.

Step 6

Add in the olive oil and stir to combine.

Step 7

Add 2 cups of flour and salt.

Step 8

Mix gently until a sticky ball forms. Add more flour gradually until you reach a dough consistency.

Step 9

Transfer the dough ball to a floured surface and roll out to desired pizza shape. Prick the dough with a fork to avoid any air pockets.

Step 10

Pre-bake the dough in the oven for 5 minutes.

Step 11

Remove the crust from the oven and add desired sauce and pizza toppings.

Step 12

Return pizza to the lower rack of the oven and bake for another 15-20 minutes, or until the crust has browned slightly.

Step 13

Remove from the oven and serve!
