Date-Night Cheese Fondue is exactly the right dish to whisk you and your partner off your feet: the cheese is creamy, indulgent, rich, and smoky, perfect for dipping with buttery French bread or your favorite smoked meats. Date-Night Cheese Fondue is also incredibly easy to make and quick to whip up, so you can get date night started in a hurry!

• 1 cup dry white wine • 1/2 pound Swiss cheese, shredded • 1/2 pound Gruyere cheese, shredded • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour • 1/4 teaspoon salt • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg • 1 pound French bread, cut into 1-inch cubes • preferred meats, optional, to taste, for dipping

Simmer the wine in the pot that you will be using for the fondue.

Step 2

Add in the Swiss cheese and Gruyere cheese, adding 1/4 pound at a time and stirring after each addition of the cheese until it is completely melted.

Step 3

Stir in the flour.

Step 4

When the cheese is melted and the flour is incorporated, add in the salt and nutmeg.

Step 5

Serve the fondue with the French bread and preferred meats.
