Ingredients• 1 cup butter • 1 cup sugar • 1 teaspoon salt • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract • 2 cups bleached white flour • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Using a handheld or stand mixer, cream together the butter, sugar, salt, and vanilla until light and fluffy.
Using a wooden spoon or spatula, stir in the flour, being careful not to over-mix.
Stir in the chocolate chips.
Pour the cookie dough into a 9x13-inch metal baking pan and press the dough down very firmly.
Bake until the edges are slightly golden, about 20-25 minutes.
