You've had a cheeseburger. You've had pie. But have you had cheeseburger pie? This recipe might just be your new favorite, with all the delicious flavors of a cheeseburger in pie form.
Ingredients• 1 uncooked pie crust (store-bought or prepared) • 1 pound lean ground beef • 1 onion, chopped • 5 slices raw bacon, chopped • 1/3 cup panko bread crumbs • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard • 3 tablespoons barbecue sauce • 1 tablespoon ketchup • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded • 1 egg • 1/2 cup milk
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
In a skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and bacon until no pink is left.
Drain grease well. Remove from stove-top and add bread crumbs, mustard, barbecue, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and pepper. Place this mixture in a pre-prepared pie crust.
Combine cheese, milk, and egg in a small bowl. Spread this mixture over the meat mixture.
Cover the pie crust edges with foil to prevent over-browning. Bake for 15 minutes before removing the foil. Bake for another 15 minutes.
Allow cooling before serving!
