Ingredients
• 1/3 cup soy sauce • 1/2 cup olive oil • 2 tablespoons honey • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce • 1 tablespoon lime juice, red wine vinegar, or balsamic vinegar • 1/2 small onion, chopped into small chunks • 3 cloves garlic, minced • 2 tablespoons green onions, minced • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper • 1/2 teaspoon salt • 2 pounds flank steakDirections
Add the soy sauce, olive oil, honey, Worcestershire sauce, lime juice, chopped onion, garlic, green onions, Italian seasoning, black pepper, and salt in a mixing bowl, whisking together until thoroughly combined.
Pierce the flank steak with a fork all over. This helps tenderize it.
Place the flank steak in the bowl, turning it several times in the marinade to coat it.
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap.
Place the bowl in the fridge and let the steak marinate for at least 2 hours and up to 24 hours.
Remove the steak from the fridge 30 minutes before grilling.
Take the steak out of the marinade, removing any excess moisture with paper towels. Discard the marinade.
Spray the grill grates with cooking oil spray.
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
Place the steaks on the grill once the grill is hot.
Grill until seared, about 1 minute per side.
Continue cooking until the steak reaches desired doneness, starting at 135 degrees F for medium-rare, about 2-3 minutes per side.
Transfer the steak to a cutting board and cover it with aluminum foil.
Let the steak rest for 5 minutes.
Slice the steak thinly against the grain.
Serve.
