Ingredients• 2 cups white rice, long-grain • 2 tablespoons canola oil • 1 tablespoon sesame oil • 3 cloves garlic, crushed • 1/2 cup green onions, sliced • 1/2 cup red bell peppers, diced • 1/2 cup carrots, diced • 1/2 cup green peas • 1 cup ham, diced • salt, to taste • 3 cups chicken broth • 3 tablespoons soy sauce • 2 teaspoons chile paste
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
Place the rice in a 9x13-inch baking dish.
Drizzle the canola oil and sesame oil over the rice.
Add in the garlic, the green onions, the peppers, the carrots, the peas, and the ham, stirring until combined.
Season with salt to taste.
In a pot on the stove, combine the chicken broth, the soy sauce, and the chile paste. Bring the broth to a boil.
Remove the broth mixture from the heat and pour it over the rice, stirring to combine.
Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 32 minutes.
Remove the baking dish from the oven and let sit for 10 minutes before uncovering and fluffing the rice with a fork.
Increase the temperature of the oven to 475 degrees F.
Return the dish to the oven and bake until the rice is browned and a crust forms, about 10 minutes.
Remove the baking dish from the oven and season to taste.
