Ingredients
For the cake: • 2 cups flour • 1 teaspoon baking powder • 1 teaspoon baking soda • 3/4 teaspoon salt • 2 eggs • 1 cup sugar • 1/2 cup butter, room temperature • 1 teaspoon vanilla • 1 (8 ounce) container sour cream For the streusel: • 1 cup walnuts, optional, chopped • 2/3 cup brown sugar • 1/2 cup sugar • 2 teaspoons cinnamon • 2 teaspoons vanillaDirections
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.
In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
In a large bowl, add the eggs, sugar, butter, and vanilla.
Beat the wet ingredient mixture until it begins to come together.
Add the dry ingredients. Mix until just moist.
Add the sour cream. Mix until smooth but be careful not to overmix.
In a bowl, mix together the walnuts, the brown sugar, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla.
Spray a 10-inch tube pan with baking spray.
Spoon 1/2 the batter into the bottom of the pan, spreading it until even.
Sprinkle it with about 1/2 of the streusel.
Add another layer of batter and another layer of streusel to the tube pan.
Bake for 40-50 minutes.
Cool completely before serving.
