Ingredients• 4 (6-ounce) chicken breast halves, boneless and skinless • 1/2 teaspoon pepper • 1 tablespoon olive oil • 2/3 cup chunky applesauce • 2/3 cup spicy barbeque sauce • 2 tablespoons brown sugar • 1 teaspoon chili powder
Sprinkle the chicken with pepper.
Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add the chicken and brown on both sides, about 3 minutes per side.
In a small bowl, combine the applesauce, barbeque sauce, brown sugar, and chili powder.
Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken.
Cover and cook until the chicken reaches 165 degrees F internally, about 7-10 minutes.
