• cornmeal, for dusting • 1 pound pizza dough • 1 cup rotisserie chicken, diced • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce, divided • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded • 1/3 cup red onions, thinly sliced • chopped cilantro, optional, for garnish

Step 1

Prepare a baking sheet and liberally sprinkle it with cornmeal.

Step 2

Roll the pizza dough out relatively flat.

Step 3

Transfer the rolled dough to the prepared baking sheet.

Step 4

In a medium bowl, combine the chicken and 1/2 of the barbecue sauce.

Step 5

Spread the remaining barbecue sauce directly onto the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.

Step 6

Sprinkle the cheese on top of the barbecue sauce.

Step 7

Add the coated chicken on top of the cheese.

Step 8

Scatter the red onions on the top of the pizza.

Step 9

Put the pizza into the oven until the crust is fully baked and golden brown, about 10-12 minutes. For best results, rotate the pizza halfway through to ensure even cooking.

Sprinkle the pizza with chopped cilantro and serve warm!
